Instructions

Upon opening the application, there are a number of options available along the left side of the screen.

Description of options:

Drag/Drop: This option is indicated by the “crosshair” icon at the top of the list. Press the crosshair icon and drag it anywhere on the map where you would like your starting point. Once you let go, your starting point will be indicated by a green push pin. Within seconds, the antipode will automatically show up as a red push pin.

“M”: Manual entry. This option allows you to enter any address you choose. Tap in the blank space and a keyboard will pop up. If desired, click the number option in the lower left side of the keyboard to enter a street address first. Once you've entered the address, click the “locate” button and both your starting point (green pin) and antipode (red pin) will automatically show up on the map.

Address book: Push this icon to access your address book. From here you can select any of your contacts and next tap on an address within the contact's information. A green starting point push pin will drop on the map along with the red push pin indicating the antipode.

Note: At any time, you can save any of your starting points (and its associated antipode) by first clicking the green push pin. Next click the arrow by 'Start Point'. A pop up menu will appear and you can either click to “Save Point” or “Cancel” to return to the main map. If you click “Save Point” an input field will appear. Tap within the box and the keyboard will appear on the screen. Input a name and click the “Save” button to return to the main map. Your saved points can be accessed anytime by hitting the “S” option from the main screen.

“S”: Saved locations. This shows a list of your saved locations along with its associated latitude and longitude. You also have the option to edit any of your previously saved locations by hitting the “edit” key at the top right hand part of the screen. Note: until you save a location, this list will be blank.

“T”: Toggle view. This allows you to quickly toggle to multiple views. The first time you hit the “T”, you will zoom into the ending point (antipode). The second time you hit the “T”, it will take you to a zoomed in view of your starting point. The third time you hit it, you will zoom out to where you see both points again on the map.

Note: you can also manually move about the map by swiping your finger as you would any picture on the iPhone/iPod Touch. e.g. finger swipe left moves left, finger swipe right moves right, moving fingers from the center of the screen in an outward manner zooms in, and swiping fingers towards each other on the screen zooms in.
